Nice to meet you, I'm Dr. Tulio Martins M.D.

Dr. Tulio Martins is a board-certified plastic surgeon in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil that specializes in hair transplant using the FUE technique, high definition liposuction and lipolaser, tummy tuck, mammoplasty, face lifting and rhinoplasty.

He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgeons (SBCP), Brazilian Association of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABCRC) and is a diplomate of the Brazilian Board of Plastic Surgery.

I graduated more than 10 years ago. I was born in the city of Rio de Janeiro, where my family is originally from and where most of them live. I’m a son of a Homeopath doctor that I am very proud of, a businessman father who was always very dedicated and grandson of a wonderful grandmother who always gave me a lot of support.

I studied at a traditional French school called Franco Brasileiro where I learned values that I still carry today and that gave me great training for personal and professional life.

I went to college at the Souza Marques Medical School for 6 years, a traditional private medical school in Rio de Janeiro, where I made great friends and opened many doors for me. During college, I did several internships in hospitals and I was approved for medical residency in general surgery at Miguel Couto County Hospital, a big hospital and emergency, where I learned a lot in my professional life.

After those years of studies, I was approved in another medical residency in plastic surgery at the Barata Ribeiro County Hospital, where I stayed for 3 years. A super traditional service with more than 50 years of existence focused on the treatment of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeries that serves the entire city of Rio de Janeiro. It’s a hospital in the city of Rio focused only on plastic surgeries and which has a very high surgical demand. Because of this, I was able to learn a lot in this excellent training, where I had the opportunity to perform very rare cases and practice a lot in the most common cases due to the great demand of surgeries.

After these 12 years of studies and solid training, I did a few more internships and fellows outside Brazil, in the USA, Canada, Paraguay, focused on rhinoplasty, face lifting, mammoplasty, high definition liposuction and hair transplant.

I currently have an office in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro.
